This is the first post on Riversniffers. Just to state what we do – we publish comment and opinion on life in the area bordering the Thames from Barnes to Sunbury. Over the coming months we aim to carry restaurant and pub reviews, reviews and news of local bands and music venues, and comment on local events and politics (rants are allowed so long as they’re funny!).

Riversniffers has no commercial ties – opinions expressed here are genuine i.e. not “advertorial”. The usual web rules apply to both contributors and those leaving comments – be as outspoken as you like but please observe the bounds of good taste (and the law).

We look forward to building the Riversniffers community together.
