Thank you so much for making that lovely video. I thought you were very clever with all the timings and the very blue moon. I liked the way you had the round light at the end zooming in on Malcolm. Great idea to do a video.

With love

What a fantastic video. It was so good to see the faces of my old friends whom I miss so much. And what a lovely noise they all made on New Year's Eve!
With love, Diana

Went last night, the atmosphere is interesting but doesn't quite work. The small, ceramic lights were too bright and at the wrong height for dining in comfort. Acoustics are awful, just sounds noisy. The whole place feels rather disjointed and awkward.

Service was slow, prices high which is not a problem if the food and service are worth it. They weren't. They added 12.5% on as standard for service. We had the lamb which was well undercooked (the whole dish very salty) and fish special which was a grilled salmon on a bed of new potatoes. Salmon was okay but not worth £15.

The Pièce de résistance and my reason for writing was the starter. We ordered the warm camembert with walnut bread and cranberry sauce. It arrived, was warm and presentation was okay. The walnut bread was lightly toasted and the cranberry sauce was home made and tart. The shock came when I pushed the cheese box across the plate slightly and the TESCO label came off the cheese. Really. Tesco's is right upstairs so I checked the price on our way out. That little bit of Tesco's cheese cost £2.05 at Tesco's and £8.95 at Parvinu's. I buy my cheese from the local cheese mongers, would expect a restaurant to do the same or at least remove the Tesco label so I can enjoy the illusion that my cheese dish was worth £9. Never again, much better options in the area.

I think Bibi's has closed down. I've been wanting to try this restaurant for several months and look in whenever I pass it (perhaps every couple of weeks) since April and it is never open. There's been no sign announcing what is going on, but their phone number is out of service.

Hi, Can I add that Alexander Pope translated Classic texts, (Homer) and was an expert in the classics. Living in Twickenham he lived his life with a view of recreating classical texts into contemporary scenes. Added to this the architecture of the time was Palladin. This view of life by Pope and his contemporaries saw an idea of Arcadian life in Twickenham and the surrounding area..they were neo classicists of the time. This idea of Arcadia related to the area was a result of Pope.
Can I also plug a website

The purpose of the development on part of the site is to fund the River Centre to to be built by the river, which will offer:

'• A centre for education about the river and broader environment, climate change and sustainability for people of all ages and abilities, provided by Richmond Environment Network, Thames Explorer Trust, River Thames Boat Project, Richmond's Biodiversity Action Plan, Thames Landscape Strategy, and other organisations.
• A 'one-stop shop' offering practical information and news about the River Thames, sustainability and climate change, along with exhibits by the Thames Landscape Strategy and organisations with responsibility for the Thames, and displays giving information on local water-based activities and clubs.
• A hub for environmental volunteering, a home for the Environment Trust, BTCV Richmond and Richmond Environment Network, a base for other environmental voluntary organisations, giving them access to mentoring, advice and equipment, and a centre for volunteer training.
• A home for HANDS (Help a Neighbour in Distress), a charity providing the elderly and housebound with support and opportunities for social interaction, and Richmond Volunteer Centre, matching individuals willing to give their time with organisations looking for support.
• Multipurpose spaces for the activities of all of the above and for many other local organisations, such as Twickenham Rowing Club, and events, such as the Twickenham Festival, as well as a children's playground, public toilets and a café open to everybody.
• Permanent displays about Twickenham's river heritage, linking it to river-based sites in the upper Thames, such as the Henley River & Rowing Museum, and the lower Thames, such as the Docklands Museum.
• A boathouse, providing public boat hire, maintenance and repair, practical boatbuilding courses, water safety training, rowing for the young and those with disabilities, work experience for young people, and small boat storage, with a waterfront pontoon to improve access to Twickenham from the river, encourage river use and enable a ferry service linking with Richmond and Teddington.
• All in a flagship sustainable building, showcasing 'green' construction methods and wider sustainability.'
